I don't normally like to post examples this early in development, but, I am super thrilled with the progress both Justin and I are making in our engine development careers.
Since KATT is nearly finished, both Justin and myself are playing around with some side projects. Justin is messing with some webGL(3d within the browser), and I am going further with the 2d html5 canvas stuff. While I wont release anything about what Justin is developing being that the choice to release it is up to him, I will say that I developed a rather nice pixel perfect shader lighting system. It was slow and rough, but, super pretty.
Since the lighting system was a success, Justin and I decided to optimize it and truly get it ready for game development. This was our first pair programming session in a while, but, the product came out fantastic! The lighting system, which still looks like a pixel perfect lighting system, sits at the frame cap of the html5 canvas. That kind of optimization is amazing, and, I am super proud of the development progress we have made here at Blackmodule Studio!
Go ahead and give the lighting system a look; It's pretty neat and certainly one of the many technologies you will see come out of this studio in the months to come.
